Too gummy?

A gum lift, or gingivectomy, is a procedure that removes excess gum tissue and reshapes the gums. As a result, short teeth appear longer, and your smile will look more balanced.

There are a number of reasons for which a gum lift may be worthwhile. For example, some people have gums that don’t recede fully after their permanent teeth erupt. Others have a lip shape that exposes a lot of gum when smiling.

At Greenhithe Dental Boutique, the procedure is relatively minor and is usually performed under a local anaesthetic. No stitches are required, and best of all, the results are immediate.

A gum lift may be done as a stand-alone procedure or in combination with other cosmetic dentistry.
